Submit an inquiry
Learn how Solum development inquiries work, what fields are required, what happens after submission, and how to troubleshoot the form.
Use the inquiry form when you want follow-up about a specific development.
Inquiries are public buyer actions. You do not need to sign in to submit one. If you are signed in, Solum can prefill your name, email, and phone number from your account.
Before you submit
Confirm that:
- You are on the correct development page.
- The development name and builder match the option you want to discuss.
- Your contact information is accurate.
- Your preferred contact method matches how you want to be reached.
- Any purchase-sensitive details will be confirmed with the builder after follow-up.
Submitting an inquiry does not reserve a unit, hold a price, create a purchase contract, or guarantee a response.
Where to start
- Open a development page.
- Find the inquiry section.
- Select Take the next step.
- Complete the form.
- Select Submit.
The form is tied to the development page where it was opened. If you are interested in a different development, submit from that development's page.
Required fields
| Field | Requirement | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Required, up to 255 characters. | Identifies the person submitting the inquiry. |
| Required valid email, up to 255 characters. | Allows email follow-up. | |
| Phone | Required, up to 30 characters. | Allows phone or text follow-up. |
| Preferred contact method | Required. Choose Email, Phone, or Text. | Tells the follow-up contact how you prefer to be contacted. |
Optional fields
Optional fields help the follow-up contact respond with useful context.
| Field | Current options |
|---|---|
| Estimated budget range | No min, $100K through $1M+ for minimum and maximum budget. |
| Estimated timeline to buy | 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12+ months. |
| Financing | Cash purchase, already pre-approved, working on pre-approval, no pre-approval. |
| Home type interest | Condo, townhouse, semi-detached, detached. |
| How did you hear about us? | Website, referral, internet search, ad. |
| Working with a realtor already? | Yes or No. |
| Additional comments | Optional message, up to 2,000 characters. |
Useful additional comments include:
- Desired move-in date.
- Preferred number of bedrooms.
- Whether you need quick possession.
- Whether you are comparing multiple communities.
- Whether you need deposit, incentive, or upgrade information.
- Whether you already have a realtor or builder contact.
Choosing optional values
Optional values are most useful when they reflect real buyer intent. If a buyer is unsure, it is better to leave a field broad than to choose a value that could mislead the follow-up contact.
| Situation | Helpful optional context |
|---|---|
| Buyer is early in research | Timeline, communities under consideration, and desired home type. |
| Buyer needs quick possession | Timeline, budget, and any flexibility on home type or area. |
| Buyer has financing started | Financing status and budget range. |
| Buyer has a realtor | Realtor status and any relevant contact note in the message. |
| Buyer is comparing multiple developments | Mention the other communities or builders in the comments. |
After submission
After a successful submission, Solum shows a confirmation message:
- The inquiry has been sent.
- If the builder name is available, the message identifies the builder.
- The confirmation message says builders typically respond within 1-2 business days.
The inquiry is saved in Solum. It may also trigger configured email or notification paths.
Do not treat the confirmation message as a purchase commitment, reservation, price lock, or contract.
Follow-up expectations
The product confirmation says builders typically respond within 1-2 business days. Treat that as an expectation-setting message, not a guarantee.
Response timing can depend on:
- Builder availability.
- Contact method.
- Completeness of submitted details.
- Whether the development is still actively marketed.
- Whether the inquiry needs routing or review.
Spam and abuse protection
Solum uses hidden spam protection fields and may use invisible Cloudflare Turnstile when configured.
If verification fails:
- Retry the form.
- Confirm browser privacy tools are not blocking the verification challenge.
- Avoid autofilling hidden fields.
- Use Feedback if the issue continues.
If a hidden spam field is filled, Solum can return a fake success response. This is intended to discourage automated spam submissions.
Privacy expectations
Only submit contact information you are comfortable using for follow-up about the selected development.
The inquiry is associated with:
- The selected development.
- Your submitted contact details.
- Your preferred contact method.
- Optional buyer qualification context.
- Your signed-in user account, if you were signed in.
- Submission time.
Editing or withdrawing an inquiry
Buyers cannot edit or withdraw an inquiry in Solum yet.
If you made a mistake:
- Submit a new inquiry with corrected information, or
- Use Feedback and include the development URL plus the correction.
Why the form may not appear
| Situation | Likely reason |
|---|---|
| You are on a builder page or community page. | The inquiry form is tied to development pages. Open a specific development. |
| The development page is not found. | The development may be unpublished, archived, or the URL may be wrong. |
| A development card opens a grouped builder/community page. | Select a specific development card from that page before submitting. |
| The button is off-screen. | On wide screens, the inquiry section appears in the sidebar area. On smaller screens, scroll below development details. |
Why submission may fail
| Failure | What to check |
|---|---|
| Required field error | Confirm name, email, phone, and preferred contact method are filled. |
| Invalid email | Use a valid email address. |
| Message too long | Keep additional comments under 2,000 characters. |
| Spam verification failed | Retry and check browser privacy or script blocking settings. |
| Referenced entity not found | Refresh the development page and submit again. |
| Network error | Retry after confirming connectivity. |
Response expectations
Solum helps route buyer intent. It does not guarantee:
- A builder response.
- Response timing beyond the product message.
- Continued availability.
- A held price.
- A reserved unit, lot, or floorplan.
- Financing qualification.
Confirm all purchase-sensitive details directly with the builder or assigned follow-up contact.
