Explore new-construction homes
Search Solum inventory by free-text query and result type, then open detail pages to compare. Shareable URLs preserve search state.
The Explore page is the main buyer task in Solum. Type a query, narrow by what you are looking for (communities, builders, floorplans, developments, development groups), and open a result to see the full detail page.
Explore does not require sign-in.

What is not in Explore yet
The following capabilities are documented because they are on the roadmap, but they are not yet present in the Explore surface. Do not promise them to a buyer or in a support reply until they ship:
- Structured value filters (city, price, bedrooms, home type, construction status).
- Sort control.
- "Show map" / "View map" map panel and map-area filter.
- "Load more" pagination control.
- Preview-email export.
- Typed key/value filter input (
city:calgary beds:3).
Tracking ticket for cross-type filter forwarding: SOL-427. The buyer Explore docs will be re-expanded as those capabilities land.
Search
Type into the search bar. Results update after a short pause. The search runs across communities, builders, floorplans, developments, and development groups in one pass.
If you type a builder name and that builder has a public page, the builder result card opens their profile when selected.
Result-type filter
The Filter button in the search bar opens a small panel with one row per result type:
- Communities
- Builders
- Floorplans
- Developments
- Development groups
Each row has a checkbox and the current count for that type. Unchecking a row hides results of that type. Re-checking restores them. Showing zero types is treated as an explicit empty state with no results.
Result cards
Each card summarizes a builder's developments in a community when available, or the individual entity (community, builder, floorplan) otherwise. Select a card to open the related detail page.
Cards can include:
- Builder and community context.
- Public image when available.
- Starting price or price range.
- Bedroom, bathroom, and square-footage ranges.
- Construction status.
If a card looks incomplete, the catalog may not have reliable structured data for every field yet. Use Feedback with the page URL and the missing detail.
Sharing a search
Solum stores the query and the active type filter in the URL. To share a search:
- Apply the search and the type filter you want.
- Copy the browser URL.
- Send that URL to someone else.
The recipient opens the same search.
No results
If the result list is empty:
- Confirm that at least one type is checked in the
Filterpanel. - Try a shorter or simpler query (a single neighborhood or builder word often works best).
- Confirm the market is currently covered by Solum.
Support notes
When reporting an Explore issue, include:
- The full Explore URL with the search applied.
- The exact text typed into the search bar.
- Which result types are checked under
Filter/Show. - Browser and device.
Accuracy notes
Prices, incentives, availability, lot premiums, included features, and completion timing can change without notice. Use Explore to compare options and form intent, then confirm current details with the builder before making purchase decisions.
