Documents, sharing, and data accuracy

Understand signed-in document downloads, shareable URLs, preview email behavior, feedback reporting, and new-construction data caveats.

Solum helps buyers compare new-construction options, but it does not replace final builder confirmation. Documents, shared pages, and search summaries should be treated as decision support, not binding purchase terms.

Use this guide when a buyer asks why a document is locked, how to share a search, whether an email preview includes all results, or how to report stale listing data.

Document downloads

Development documents can include brochures, plan packages, specification sheets, pricing guides, or other PDFs provided through the Solum catalog.

What buyers see

User stateDocument behavior
Signed outDocument rows can appear locked with a Sign in to download action.
Signed inDocument rows link to authenticated downloads when the asset is available.

Signing in is required for downloads, but signing in does not guarantee that every development has documents. The documents section appears only when document assets exist for the development.

Before downloading

Check:

  1. You are on a specific development page.
  2. The documents section is visible.
  3. You are signed in if the document row is locked.
  4. The document name matches what you intend to review.
  5. The document appears current enough for the question you are trying to answer.

When a document is missing

A missing document can mean:

  • The builder has not supplied that document.
  • The document has not been prepared for Solum yet.
  • The development does not have a public brochure or PDF.
  • The document was removed because it was stale or incorrect.
  • The document belongs to another development or floorplan.

Use Feedback with the page URL and expected document type when a public page appears incomplete.

What documents should not be used for

Documents can help with comparison, but they should not be treated as:

  • A purchase contract.
  • A guaranteed current price sheet.
  • A final specifications schedule.
  • A guarantee that a floorplan, lot, or unit is still available.
  • A replacement for builder confirmation.

Confirm purchase-sensitive details with the builder or assigned follow-up contact.

Sharing searches and pages

Solum supports sharing through URLs and page-level share actions.

Explore stores meaningful search state in the URL. To share the current search:

  1. Apply the search, filters, sort, and map area you want.
  2. Copy the browser URL.
  3. Send the URL to the person who should review it.

The recipient opens the same filtered Explore view.

If results change later, the same URL may show updated inventory because the catalog is live.

Share a public detail page

Development, builder, community, and builder-in-community pages can be shared with their URL. Some pages also include a share button.

If the browser supports native sharing, Solum opens the browser or operating system share sheet. If native sharing is not available, copy the URL manually.

Saved homes workaround

Saved homes are not available yet. Use URLs while this product area is still in development.

Useful sharing patterns:

  • Send a development URL to ask about one specific option.
  • Send a builder-in-community URL to compare a builder's offerings in one community.
  • Send a filtered Explore URL to compare a broader set of results.
  • Use Preview email when someone wants a plain-text summary.

Preview email

The Explore page includes Preview email when there are loaded development results.

Preview email is useful for:

  • Preparing a quick summary for a client, teammate, partner, or internal reviewer.
  • Copying development names, ranges, locations, and links.
  • Creating a starting point for a follow-up message.

Important limits

LimitExplanation
It summarizes loaded resultsIf Load More is available, not every matching result may be included yet.
It is editable before copyingReview the generated text before sending it.
It is not a CRM exportIt is a convenience summary, not an auditable export or campaign tool.
It reflects current catalog dataRe-check pages before sending purchase-sensitive information.

If Preview email is disabled, there are no loaded developments to summarize.

Data accuracy

New-construction data changes frequently. A development can change before Solum receives updated catalog data.

Details that commonly change

  • Base prices.
  • Price ranges.
  • Incentives.
  • Availability.
  • Lot premiums.
  • Deposit requirements.
  • Included features.
  • Upgrade packages.
  • Floorplan names.
  • Square footage.
  • Construction status.
  • Estimated completion.
  • Builder website URLs.
  • Brochures and specification PDFs.

How to interpret Solum data

Use Solum to compare options and form intent. Before making a purchase decision, confirm current details directly with the builder or assigned follow-up contact.

Solum fieldTreat as...
PriceA comparison signal that must be confirmed.
Completion timingAn estimate that can change.
Floorplan dataStructured catalog information when available, not a guarantee of active availability.
DocumentsReview material that may need builder confirmation.
External linksThird-party pages outside Solum's control.
Map locationA helpful orientation signal, subject to available location data.

Reporting incorrect data

Use Feedback when a public page appears wrong or incomplete.

Include:

  • Page URL.
  • Builder, community, development, or floorplan name.
  • The field that appears wrong.
  • The expected value, if known.
  • A source link, document, or note if you have one.
  • Whether the issue affects price, availability, location, document download, or page display.
