Buyer workflows

Buyer workflows

Search, compare, share, download documents, and submit inquiries for new-construction homes in Solum.

Buyer workflows start with public search. A visitor can search and compare new-construction housing without creating an account, then sign in only when an action needs an authenticated user.

These guides are written for buyers, support teams helping buyers, and internal reviewers validating public product behavior.

Buyer journey

Most buyer sessions follow this shape:

  1. Start with Explore.
  2. Narrow the market using search, filters, sorting, or map browsing.
  3. Open a development, builder, community, or builder-in-community page.
  4. Compare price, floorplan, completion, media, and document signals.
  5. Share URLs with another decision-maker or use the email preview tool.
  6. Sign in if a locked document needs to be downloaded.
  7. Submit an inquiry from the development that best matches the buyer's intent.

Product caveats buyers should see

Solum is a discovery and comparison product. It is not the final source of purchase terms.

Buyers should confirm these details directly with the builder or assigned follow-up contact before making decisions:

  • Current base price.
  • Lot premiums.
  • Incentives.
  • Deposit requirements.
  • Included specifications.
  • Upgrade packages.
  • Availability.
  • Completion timing.
  • Document currency.

Saved homes

The header may include Saved, but saved homes are not available yet.

Use shareable URLs while saved homes are still in development:

  1. Apply the search or open the page you want to preserve.
  2. Copy the browser URL.
  3. Send it to yourself, a partner, an agent, or another reviewer.

Support checklist

When helping a buyer, collect:

  • The page URL.
  • Search terms and active filters.
  • Whether the buyer is signed in.
  • The missing section, button, document, or field.
  • The development, builder, or community name.
  • Browser/device details if the issue involves map, share, or download behavior.
