Builder operations
Manage supported profile, media, document, billing, and promotion tasks for builder teams.
Builder operations are restricted tasks for signed-in users on provisioned builder teams. They are not broad public self-serve builder claiming or complete catalog administration.
Use these guides when a builder team has already been invited or set up and needs to manage supported tools inside Solum.
Builder team readiness
A builder team is ready for builder operations when:
| Requirement | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| User is signed in | Team tools are protected. |
| User belongs to the team | Team pages are membership-scoped. |
| Team type is Builder | Builder profile, development media, and promotion tasks depend on builder context. |
| Team is linked to a builder profile | Solum must know which public builder the team represents. |
| User has the right permission | Media/profile actions and billing actions use different permission gates. |
If the team is not linked, explain that the team needs Forcir assistance instead of telling users to claim the profile themselves.

Permission split
Builder operations commonly involve two permission categories:

| Manage team | Builder profile fields, logo upload, and current development media/document actions. |
| Manage billing | Billing portal, promotion checkout, and promotion cancellation. |
Do not assume an Admin can manage billing. Do not assume a Billing user can manage builder media.

Understand team workspaces, roles, permissions, seats, invitations, member management, and current limits.
Builder profile and team identity
Edit the team name, builder display name, and builder website URL. Logo, media, and document management are operated by Forcir today.
